Weekly private lessons are the first of two primary interfaces between teachers and students at West County Strings.  Spring and Fall semesters are comprised of 18 private lessons each, while students may sign up for any number of private lessons during our Summer semester.

Private lessons give the teacher the opportunity to guide students and parents through short-term and long-term goals while giving them the tools to make those goals attainable.  The key to success is practice, and the goal of practice is to make skills easier.  Private lessons are the time to guide at home practice – which is where a bulk of a student’s progress is really made.
