Weekly group classes are the second of two primary interfaces between teachers and students (and parents of younger students) at West County Strings. Spring and Fall semesters each contain 15 group classes, while the Summer semester is reserved solely for private lessons.
Group classes give students the opportunity to review and reinforce the technical exercises and repertoire they are learning in their private lessons in a fun and exciting environment. This is also a wonderful time to introduce concepts that are more appropriate to cover in a group setting such as theory and aural skills. Group Classes are a place of exploration and pushing boundaries under the umbrella of playing with others as well as a place to learn to lead, blend, follow, listen and much more.
Group classes at West County Strings are organized according to skill level, and meet on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-9:20 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd – 1166 S. Mason Rd, Town and Country, MO 63131.
